Perranuthnoe Parish Council objects to this application. On the following grounds:

We share the concerns of the Cornwall Council Highways Department there are no visible splays which will raise the potential for collisions as exiting drivers will not be able to observe approaching vehicles  and the pedestrian access has constrained  emerging visibility.

It breaches the original  planning  conditions.

Which state/show that this dwelling would have the same access route, driveway as both the adjacent dwellings. It is clear that the enlarged opening was approved to be accessed via the approved driveway for the other two houses thus there is no justification or need for such an enlargement access within the site.

The proposal is contrary to protective planning policy 23 Natural Environment 12 residential amenity of the Cornwall Local Plan.

03/23/10 Clerks Report

The Grounds care contract for the cutting and maintaining of the Parish Cemetery, Village Green, Well Lanes and Goldsithney Triangle was due  for renewal. The Council discussed and agreed to accept the contract with PT Grounds care and asked that the foliage & weed maintenance of the Car Park at Perranuthnoe be included.  It was proposed, seconded and agreed unanimously that Perranuthnoe Parish Council  approve and adopt the quote from PT Grounds Care.

The Perranuthnoe Parish Council  Risk Assessment had been circulated to all councillors prior to the meeting . The clerk expressed the importance of having one and urged the Councillors to approve & adopt this latest edition.

Chairmans Report.

On Friday 10th March, Gail our Clerk, David our Vice chairman and myself met with John Martin our Cornwall Councillor to go through the projects, issues and planning applications and decisions in the Parish. Outstanding planning enforcement was also highlighted as needed dealing with.

On Tuesday 28th March I attended the Teams Police liaison meeting held by Inspector Sarah Price There was a good presentation on the way in which domestic abuse, violence & Anti-social behaviour  are being dealt with.

Rural policing was discussed and the local villages and hamlets will be kept under surveillance.

The last meeting of the West Penwith Community Network was held on 16th March in St. Johns Hall  in Penzance  and there was an excellent presentation on the Levelling up funds and the categories these projects fall into. Information is on line and small groups are encouraged to submit projects for funding consideration.

The new Community Area Partnerships (CAPs) will come into being from May. There will be a number of workshops over the next month to look at how the CAPs will function.

There will be an open day in St Pirans Hall, Goldsithney on Sat 22nd April between 11 am and 3 pm to show the final version of the Neighbourhood plan which has been amended slightly in response to the External Examiners requests. Up to date leaflets and posters have been printed.

There will be an independent feasibility study undertaken on the highways management for Perranuthnoe which the Parish Council are paying for. We are waiting on the camera survey report following the repairs to the underground pipe work at the Toilets in Perranuthnoe.

Cornwall Councillors Report –  Cllr. Martin had met with the Clerks and Chairs of Perranuthnoe, St Erth Parish Council and Marazion Town Council. He was meeting with the St Aubyn Estates this coming week. He had recently been contacted by the owners of a property in Springfield Road Goldsithney  regarding flooding of their property. This was due to a problem with capping of an old mine shaft. He updated the parish council on  road resurfacing near Nanturaas /Tresowe Road where the edging was breaking and there were pot holes. He had met with Mr Power of the Crown Inn. Cllr Martin then informed the council he was now a on the  following committees West Planning & Central Planning & the Economic & Growth Scrutiny Committee. He reminded the council that the Levelling UP /Environmental  funding was now available and grants could be applied for.

He looked forward to working closely with councillors and the clerk on issues that would affect the Parish.

 
03/23/14 Cllrs Reports:

Cllrs Sharp & Collins. Are planning to re-line the car park at Perranuthnoe. Cllr Sharp to be reimbursed for the paint he had purchased.

Cllr Collins asked about the feasibility study on parking at Perranuthnoe. Clerk said she had last heard from Cornwall Council on the 6/3/23 and that the CLO for West Penwith had submitted the client brief for the feasibility study and we were waiting to hear from back from them re approval.

Cllr Griffiths. Noted that there was a problem with the signage at the car park in Long Rock near the beach it didn’t say – No overnight camping stays Cllr Martin made a note of this.

Projects Issues & Updates.

NDP update –  The Perranuthnoe Neighbourhood Plan has passed the Independent Examination and can proceed to referendum. An Open Day is to be held in St Pirans Hall on Saturday 22nd April 2023 from 11-3pm open to everyone to come along to see how their input has shaped the plan and what the next steps are. Cllrs to meet in the Parish Office on Friday 14th April to distribute leaflets to all eligible homes in the Parish. Cllr Martin offered to help with the task.

Bus Shelter at Perranuthnoe . –  Land Ownership- There is a caution on the land waiting to hear from the land owners. Clerk asked to write to the owners.

Emails received:

Grant applications had been received from Peter Williams /Paul Crump for the Goldsithney Coronation Event and the Perranuthnoe Event Group. Reference funding from the Parish Council to enable Coronation events to take place in both wards of the Parish.

It was proposed, seconded and agreed unanimously that Perranuthnoe Parish Council grant the sum of  £1,000 to each group/ward. On the condition that following the event a report is submitted with receipts detailing where and how the money was distributed.

It was proposed, seconded and agreed unanimously that Perranuthnoe Parish Council accept the Quote from R. Sanders for cutting of the SWCP, footpaths and stiles within the Parish during 2023
